In order to have profitable e-business you need to consider software. I have seen many organizations purchase software only to have it become out dated and a cost center. You need to consider present and future needs and market trends before acquiring new software for your organization. - Open Office. Open Office is a beautiful office suite. The suite can be installed on Windows, Linux, Unix, and Mac OS, this means portability and familiarity of software. - Joomla. This site is created and maintained using Joomla, a content manager. It is easy to install and administrate. - Nagios. I have configured a nagios environment to monitor over 400 servers and 2700 processes for a major retailer.
